ELF Glow Reviver Lip Oil Swatches & Review
Today, I’m excited to share my experience with every shade of e.l.f.’s Glow Reviver Lip Oils, including the limited edition Jelly Pop shade. If you’ve spotted these at Target or online and wondered how they actually look on the lips, you’re in the right place. Let’s dive into swatches, shades, and all the details you need to know before making your purchase! Check out my Youtube video below, or keep scrolling for my text review.
What Are the Glow Reviver Lip Oils?
According to e.l.f., these lip oils are designed to provide a non-sticky, hydrating finish with a high-gloss effect. They come equipped with a plush, oversized applicator that hugs your lips for easy application. Infused with nourishing ingredients like squalane, apricot oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and pomegranate oil, these lip oils promise to deliver a sheer wash of color with a fresh minty scent. Each shade is priced at $8, making them a budget-friendly option.
The Shades
The original collection includes seven shades, and I’ve swatched them all for you. Here’s a closer look:
Coral Fixation: This sheer peachy orange shade gives a lovely hint of color. I found it surprisingly flattering on my pale lips, perfect for those who want a soft, peachy glow.
Rose Envy: A neutral pink that’s slightly more pigmented than Coral Fixation. It’s a versatile shade that can complement many skin tones.
Pink Quartz: Another sheer option, this one offers a hint of pink with a glossy finish. It’s subtle yet pretty, making it a great everyday shade.
Red Delicious: This shade pulls more pigmented than Pink Quartz, providing a beautiful, wearable red that’s not too bold.
Honey Talks: A nude brown that leans warm, it gives a mocha-like finish. While it’s nice, it wasn’t my absolute favorite from the collection.
Jam Session: A deep burgundy that enhances your lips beautifully, this shade is perfect for fall. It offers a flattering, berry-like finish.
Jelly Pop Glow Revive Lip Oil: This special edition shade adds a juicy splash of shimmer and features a nostalgic watermelon scent. The shimmer is subtle on the lips, giving an extra dimension to your pout.
Application and Performance
I applied these shades using a lip liner for definition, which I recommend if you have lighter lips like mine. The applicators are fantastic, picking up just the right amount of product without needing to dip back in.
The minty scent is refreshing but not overwhelming. These lip oils don’t have the oily consistency you might expect; instead, they feel more like a non-sticky gloss, providing moisture without heaviness. While the wear time isn’t extreme—about a couple of hours before needing reapplication—they’re easy to carry around and reapply throughout the day.
Layering and Final Thoughts
I also experimented with layering Jam Session over a Revlon lipstick in the shade Primrose. It beautifully muted the color and added a mauvey depth, showcasing how versatile these lip oils can be.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oils. They’re a great buy for anyone looking to add a touch of hydration and color to their lips without the sticky feel of traditional glosses. Whether you go for a sheer tint or a bold shade, I’m sure you’ll find something that fits your style.
